CLass Organizer Frequently Asked Questions

What is a class organizer?

A class organizer is the person on the ground that is the go between for the instructor and the range.  The organizer asks the instructor their availability for a specific class date, and gets that date approved with the range.  The organizer gathers all the supplies and lines up the students, since the instructor will not be on site until the day of the class.

What things should I be asking my range for approval on?

-          Request the number of bays you need

-          Ask if there will be a guest fee and agree on a price

-          Gain access to all props needed for the class: target stands, poppers, walls, fault lines, etc.

-          Access to the gate for non-members

What supplies am I expected to have before class starts?

You need to have targets, pasters, and spray paint (black and white) on hand before the class starts.

How do I figure out what the tuition should be?

Find out what supplies will cost for the class (targets, pasters, spray paint), and divide that between the number of students.  Then add any range fees and the instructor’s fee.  Have the tuition payable to you and issue the instructor a cashier’s check for his entire fee.

What should I tell the students to bring to class?

Have them bring all the things they’d bring to a match or practice.  Drinks, snacks, sunscreen, backup gun, extra parts, etc.

I’m nervous and worried I’ll forget something.

Ben can improvise and make almost any situation work as long as you have targets, pasters, and props (target stands, walls, poppers, etc).
